Prevention While AIDS Project Quad Cities works to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS, the organization is also focused on preventing the incidence of new HIV infections. APQC provides presentations to area students, youth and adult, in secondary schools, colleges, universities, agencies, churches, and other venues. AIDS Project Quad Cities employs full-time prevention staff who work exclusively with individuals who are at high risk of becoming infected. All services are free and confidential. In an effort to provide a full range of services, support, and prevention programming, AIDS Project Quad Cities works collaboratively with Community Health Care Regional Virology Center, Quad Cities HIV Prevention Community Planning Group, John Lewis Community Services, Project NOW, community mental health centers, health departments, Center for Drug and Alcohol, DeLeCerda House, and home health care organizations.
