The Project of the Quad Cities,

Founded in 1986, AIDS Project Quad Cities is a non-profit AIDS Service Organization that provides support to persons living with HIV/AIDS as well as their families and friends in Iowa and Illinois. Our mission, APQC will enhance the quality of life in our communities and reduce health disparities by providing a full spectrum of services including advocacy, care, testing, education, counseling, referrals and other health care services for individuals who are living with, affected by, or at risk of contracting HIV/STI/AIDS APQC's goals are:
1. To provide prevention services to those at risk of contracting
1. HIV/STI/AIDS.
2. To provide educational messages concerning HIV/STI/AIDS that
1. are culturally competent and sensitive.
3. To provide a full spectrum of HIV/STI/AIDS services for all.
4. To advocate for equality in the provision of health care services
1. on behalf of those living with and affected by HIV/STI/AIDS.
5. To work collaboratively with federal, state and other community
1. based agencies.
6. To empower those we serve
APQC Offers Confidential HIV Testing
All HIV testing presented by The Project of Quad Cities is free and anonymous.
Please call (309) 762-5433 or contact TPQC to set up your HIV Testing appointment. HIV Testing is also available on a walk-in basis if a counselor is available.
The Ora Sure or Ora Quik Test is used at our testing site. No blood will be drawn because this test involves collection of an oral specimen.
