|Grand Auction! It's part of our name...
We are after all, the Red Ribbon Dinner and Grand Auction ! Starting off with a very humble beginning of about 20 items years ago, the auction portion of this fundraiser has grown.
It now includes both a silent auction, and a live auction element featuring 4-6 "big ticket" items. Also a feature during the live auction is the Fund-A-Need "bidding frenzy".
F.A.N. as it is known by "those in the know," is an opportunity for patrons to make cash pledges to the Client Emergency Assistance Fund. 100% of these donations go directly to clients' services!
New for 2012...
For the first time, the committee will be adding a new element to the pre-dinner cocktail hour. The DISCO PRIZE PULL! This is a new and exciting element where everyone comes away a winner. In the Disco Prize Pull, you purchase a ticket that will allow you to "Pull" a Disco Ball with a prize in it. Each prize is guaranteed to be worth more than you paid for the ticket! From jewlery, to restaurant gift certificates, to artwork, to household goods, each Pull provides a great prize. Best of all, if you don't get the item you wanted on the first Pull, there are no limits as to how many tickets you can buy!
Live Auction Fun...
The committee is hard at work assembling yet another unique and fun collection of not only objets d`arte, but also those extra special "big ticket" auction packages available during the live auction. While we won't be able to help you with space travel or a pinball miachine, there will be some groovy packages! Perhaps the winter weather will have you craving a warmer place as you continue your quest for the "perfect" piece of art... Or maybe you'll want to take part in a traditional Chinese Lantern Festival... Either way there will be something for everyone on the Live Auction block. Stay tuned for more information!
