This year, we're going back... to "THE 70's!"

For the 19th annual Red Ribbon Dinner, we'll be taking a step back in time. Grab your platform shoes and bellbottom jeans, puff up your afro and get ready for some Saturday Night Fever

Heading up the committee this year is Thea Hansen-Bettis. No stranger to TPQC or the enormous challenge of planning the Red Ribbon Dinner, Thea brings with her years of experience both in planning the Dinner and attending. Thea is backed with a committee of Red Ribbon Dinner veterans as well as some new faces - ensuring that traditions are upheld, while new ones are formed.

Why we do it...

The Red Ribbon Dinner began in 1991 as a grassroots fundraiser to benefit TPQC formerly known as AIDS Project Quad Cities. TPQC, a 501-3(c) non-profit service organization, provides support to persons living with HIV/STI/AIDS as well as their families. As their mission, The Project of the Quad Cities is committed to action in the battle agains HIV/STI/AIDS . By providing advocacy and care for those living with HIV/STI/AIDS and education for those at risk throughout the community, TPQC is actively working to reduce the spread of these diseases. Currently TPQC provides services to over 280 clients in western Illinois and eastern Iowa covering an area of 11 counties total. read more
